The Lost Angel

So, yeah the novel is a bit interesting (Only a bit and not more).
The story seems so realistic and is set during wartime.It appears that it's set in an old time because it wasn't normal for women to wear "trousers"▬ 'Why...whydoes Gertie wear men's clothes?'. It begins when the protagonist's house getting destroyed and her grand parents getting burried alive under their destroyed house▬both incidents are typical and tragic that many people suffer from during war.
The protagonist is obviously Ellen who ,until now, is innocent and naive. (who knows wat will happen to her after those 3 chapters!)
Ellen's mother ,Hilda,is a typical mother who loves and wants the best for her daughter.
I'm not sure about Gertie, she does not seem so innocent. There is something ominous about her.

I think that's it for the 3 chapters. Hope that's enough!

    I actually kinda liked it too. Yes and the trousers part !
    But Gertie ominous? I dont think so,,, maybe she's just being a bit bossy.. Well we'll find out soon ! x

    Zeinab you have a point there , Ellen might surprise us further in the story which will probably make the story a bit more interesting or maybe a little more than a bit :P
    Anyway I also agree that the story is veryy realistic.

    And for me the story seems to still not catch my attention maybe because the first 3 chapters are more like an introduction

    Is it true about Nadia not reading books?Fouda are you reading with us or has your sister facilitated you read...Gertie wearing trousers is shocking to Hilda because she is from the city not familiar with the farm life or as you say women were not seen in trousers those days?What makes you think Gertie is ominous?

    I've almost finished the book...
    & Yes, nadia doesn't like reading novels.She likes reading newspapers & scientific books.
    I don't like Gertie because i just don't like her!!!!
    && I think she wore trousers not because she's living in a farm but for another reason that will be disclosed in further chapters.

    Zeinap! I totally like what you wrote.
    You made me curious to know what really Gartie hides.
    And about Ellen: I think she is innocent.
    Till now!
    Though I predict that Ellen may find out something behind Gartie's back..Since Ellen was the explorer ( as in finding new things out ... somethings by learning, somethings by accident).
    And I think Hilda will try hiding it...Because She's been Gartie's friend for so long.
